A downloadable game for Windows
Creature Packets is a game about cooking tiny creatures. Using a microwave, you can bring creatures from packets to life. Use blender to explore new substance packages to cook even more creatures.
The game was made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 56 on the theme "Tiny creatures.
Controls:
- wasd - move
- lmb - interact
- rmb - back
- esc - pause

I immensely enjoyed this game; it was an excellent experience. I wanted to test my new way of playing Windows games on Mac, and this was the game I chose to try out. It ran perfectly on Mac. so it's impressive; I want more for this game.
Love the theming through the monotonous and perfectly cumbersome game loop. I felt the pressure of trying to do the job efficiently for my own time's sake, flashing back to fast food shifts spent trying to spend the shortest amount of time between beeping machines and handing out convoluted orders. The atmosphere seeps through all the idiosyncratic machines that all have some small hilarious frustration, like not being able to see all the numbers in the vending machine while at the keypad. I loved the little creatures, and, of course, felt bad for squashing them. I had to though, because I was on my last reprimand before I cleared the first order. Anyways, me not fired, me quit. Very cool game.

Completed! I enjoyed with the gameplay loop and the creepy atmosphere, and I loved the visual style too! Anyway, being honest, I though there was hidden plot, a jumpscare, or something like that, but for a 3 days project is an incredible work, bravo!

For a game made in 72 hours, it's really well made and fun! Had a blast playing it over share screen on discord with friends! Wish it had more to offer, still really fun!

i cannot pick up the packet from the vending machine, can someone help?
walk up to it, look down at it, and if you see the dot turn into a hand, click on it.
it doesnt turn into the hand for me :((
then just keep trying and clicking until you pick it up maybe??

Such a nice, well polished, bite sized experience! Wouldn't change a single element about it, love it!
This was such a bizarre experience but totally worth it. Its gritty and strange and it makes you feel like somethings coming for you while just being exactly what's advertised. I hope you don't mind but I made a Let's Play of you game. Definitely a worthy submission to the Ludum Dare :D

loved the athmosphere, and it felt strangely cosy to mix and match ingredients. maybe i just need to play a cooking game...
an idea: would be awesome if there was a secret set of ingredients that would create something not in the vending machine, something more spooky or unnatural for instance lol

The end implies you may be some type of tiny creature yourself... one with a single long appendage would solve your quandary... :)

Another very curious game, really. Although I honestly thought something scary would happen, but it was still good xD.
Well done. Really enjoyable. There's potential for an extended version with an horror storyline.
