To be honest it was kinda good. If only if there were jumpscares, but the unsettling atmosphere made up for it as well as me being intrigued of what happened to this world. I kind of enjoyed it.
Although it's boring gameplay and poor boss battles, I like its world view and story. If it can be expanded, it will be a very good "alternative end of the day" work. I don't know where the protagonist is. He is in Work? Still stuck in a "dreamland"? Is it all real or surreal. Under the high-tech vehicle, it uses manpower to pick up the garbage that is continuously transmitted in the dimension. It's like a "Sigil garbage station"...I don't know the author's specific idea, but this is indeed a subject with great potential.
I loved it... Very cynical, whatever you do the trash keep coming.
I was surprised by how the game continue after I thought it would have ended, and I see a lot of potential for a 1 hour game or something like that.
I have no idea why but I imagined this weird story about how 100 years from now, they have no idea what to do with their dump, so they send it to the past. Hence the terminator-like time travel effect for the garbage falling out of the sky.
This or a garbage collector having to wake up at 5 AM every morning slowly loosing his mind.
At any case, you're the kind of guy I'd love to make a game jam with. Congrats, it's incredible.
Thanks glad you liked it. Yes, I think this can be made into a good full-fledged game, but I do not plan to continue this project as I am working on another one. There are no prizes in this jam. But, despite this, it is still very interesting and fun to participate in it.
I liked this a lot, especially since I am very conscious of my trash and recycling on a daily basis. It was an interesting concept and really impressive this game was made in 72 hours. I was able to work this in to my Halloween series on my YouTube channel in that trash is typically a huge issue on Halloween and I get angry when I see people litter everywhere.
Clean up after yourselves and keep the world clean!
Very great game, but it has bugs. I can get throught the fence easily by putting bigger trash next to it and climbing on it, also stepping on trash and using mouse wheel to get it more close to me causes levitation.
Gave it a Let's Play, good stuff as usual, though even though I know it had a time restraint of 72 hours and its impressive, it does end sorta anti-climactically
Game was interesting, but seemed to lack anything beyond the immediate gameplay and semblance of a plot. I would be very interested to see the expanded upon, but as it exists, it feels more like something that tries to say something without having the depth to say it. Loved the graphics, and would be excited to see w;here the artist takes this beyond the immediate ludum dare implementation.
Game was fantastic, accidentally speed ran the boss fight. cardboard box kept bouncing off the top of the trash truck and sent me to victory in 2 seconds flat. 10/10
Loved this game. This was a dope concept, especially the boss fight lmao! Great job here, looking forward to more content from ya! Thanks! Below is my gameplay!
There was a reveal later on and a new mechanic that like, really took me by surprise and was a delight to have, but even before that, when I thought this game was only going to include the first small zone you're in, I already thought it was a wonderful thing that I was glad to exist.
The use of strong sillhouettes to build the world through the little you can see outside of the play area, plus the use of the retro aesthetics and rain, already make for a really great atmosphere. But the main idea of the game, the garbage that just keeps falling, with no end in sight, is what sticks in my memory.
I took a little long on the first zone, enough to let a lot of garbage build in while I tried to fill the container. To the point where, eventually, it got a little more difficult to actually walk around the area because of just how MUCH garbage there was. And the slowly building dread that you get as more and more and more garbage keeps pouring in, way overpowering your ability to toss them in, to the point of hindering your ability to even move, made it feel like I was being swallowed by the piles of garbage, and made the desire to escape that much more real. It got me feeling anxious in a way that felt really, really special. I really loved this game, so, so much. Thank you for making it!
that's so good for a jam game! i love how these rivetheads and the silly boss turned the garbage city into a great place for adventure. would love to know more about the characters if you're planning on expanding the game/lore.

My dream of becoming a trash collector has finally come true 🥺
I enjoyed the look and style and wish I could've seen more of the world! Great job! Your game is first up at 1:33
Well that was eerie....
I really like it. simple game dystopian type of horror
really liked this. maybe the second trash picking up part was a bit long but a good interesting game! the duck also scared me lol.
Cool game. I like the atmosphere and never ending rain. Not quite a horror game tho xD

Did you win anything in that jam?

Did you use one of the ps1 asset from the store? It's been a while since I've done anything in Unity but I'm curious.

amazing man cool game
This was fun, great game!!
This is my favorite part of the game
jumping over the fence.
Wonderful game, love a dystopian cityscape and a unique one at that!
I loved the game! It was really fun, at first I thought it might be boring but it had a lot more to it, enjoyed the boss fight, gameplay and concept.

Played this game with my little brother, we had a blast playing! Boss fight was a bit tricky but we were able to get to the end. Amazing game :D
Trash everywhere!

Awesome horror game! Would love to see more story behind why the garbage spawns.
