Spoilers for the game. I would recommend playing the game beforehand, it's short and pretty good. First off, I really love the aesthetic of the game. The lidar mechanic feels like a perfect balance between being able to see your surroundings and feeling utterly blind, if that makes any sense. As far as horror goes, I feel it pretty much disappears when you realize the monster can only appear when you use the detail scan, but the first time really got me (and the "blast shadow" it left behind was a really cool effect). On a similar note, the ending is a bit underwhelming (it even made me chuckle a little). All-in-all, though, I'm glad I gave the game a spin and didn't just watch a lets-play and leave it at that.
PS: There's a ledge in the second level that can easily be traversed to get out of bounds (Well, there are two, but the second one is harder to get to and won't get you stuck). It's pretty fun to explore out of bounds, but you'll get soft-locked if you fall off a ledge while back there.

so, I don't usually play horror games, but the concept alone piqued my interest. and It did not disappoint. i definitely would love to see more of this.
Okay just the mechanic alone is great, and so much fun to mess with, as I painted my world. But once the spooks began, it got so much better. This is such a creepy game, and I really, really enjoyed it. This was the recorded version, but I ended up playing it so many more times, and it's just spooky. Great game and I can recommend it.
Only gripe is I have no idea for what story is happening. But even beyond that it's a wonderful game full of atmosphere. So just go play it. It's worth a try.

Very cool concept and fun experience! I don't think I saw all there was to see- but enjoyed it regardless! It was the first game I played in this 3 scary games vid :)
This was amazing! The game as a concept is great, the feeling if not knowing what is in the dark until you scan it is great!
Very very close to the Garry’s Mod gamemode,I liked it a lot, maybe a update with a couple new levels or new things stalking in the dark would be cool, expanding on the idea!

Amazing concept, I hope you expand the world and make a full experience out of this. Its honestly horrifying knowing you have to unveil your own demise as something stalks you in the darkness.
