A downloadable game

A small atmospheric game set in a strange, overgrown superstructure. It’s inhabited by peculiar hybrid creatures that you can collect to buy upgrades and repair your transport capsule — your only way to escape (or not).

The game was made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 58 on the theme "Collector"

This looks like a blast! Reminds me a lot of another Indie game I really love called "white knuckle" the similarity's between the "Pipeworks waste heap rooms" and this game are uncanny. the game is awesome and crispy. love it

Masterpiece

Hmm. It says "No compatible downloads found".

happened to me too just now :`

this was a lot of fun to play !! thanks so much kenforest :))

Really good vibes and pacing! Loved the aesthetic

Love the aesthetic and the gameplay! The concept could be extended to other areas or rooms until you find a final exit (such as retrieving plants from underwater) and mechanics (using oxygen bottles, faster swimming), etc. Great gem!

It’s mind-boggling that it was made in just 72 hours.

lovely game wish there was just more to the game i loved the style w the pixels its FIRE

Can't download it, says "no compatible downloads were found"

This appears from the .zip contents to be Windows-only.  It'd be nice to be warned ahead of time so I can avoid downloading something I can't run.  (It'd be even nicer to have a Linux build, but absent that I'd at least like to know when it's not worth bothering to download.)

very cool, tho i expected more "scary" in there

Really fun and amazing looking game! I think the short length really helped with the game play too.

Itch clients aren't official and I also experienced issues installing stuff, try installing from the website!

woah this looks pretty cool. Reminds me of White Knuckle, specifically the Pipeworks region.

This was a great game! Very easy and fun!

The graphics fit the game perfectly, the creativity was nice, and the gameplay was simplistic yet hooking. My gameplay was very peaceful, I got all the necessary bugs (I didn't get ALL the creatures, I wasn't planning too, but maybe sometime), and I had fun planning and picturing. And even the enemies (those vaccum flies) were very cute and I liked them.

I do have some issues though:

Firstly, the graphics kinda warbled around? I don't know if it's intentional, but sometimes some polygons look bigger than others and the textures don't line up at certain angles. It did create an interesting look though.

Secondly, a lack of a tutorial confused me. It was clear to take creatures and dump them into the pipe, but when I first played, I didn't know it was mandatory to get upgrades (Like the jump boost that you needed to get the flying creatures). If it was communicated on what the player needs, I think the first-time experience would have gone on much more smoothly.

Finally, I think the game lacked replayability. Being thrown into the same environment with the same requirements got boring over time. If a different gameplay lead to a different environment every time, with new creatures or different needs, I think it would've spiced the game a lot more and made it more refreshing to replay it.

Overall, I loved the game despite some confusion, and I think you did a very great job for a game made in such a short time. I would like some updates though!

Made a video

oh man, this is one of those perfect lil' games: the parts fit together so well, that i wouldn't want to see any change made to it !! it's just such a sweet slice of game, immaculate vibes with imagination and crisp sound design, beautiful graphics and fun gameplay. love love love this.

Very cool looking and satisfying to hunt bugs, their mechanical hybrid designs were cool. I really enjoyed the overgrown environment and how peaceful it felt, yet the structure was still sort of haunting; it made me wonder what was beyond, though i suppose It will remain a mystery...

As for some feedback, I felt like a way to modulate the jump height would've been a nice addition, but it's also fine as is.

Had a great time, very good work.

I love that your games can be so whimsical! I went in expecting horror and jumpscares because of all the other games I've been playing recently, and came out with a sense of peace and ease! Awesome job!

Fun game, i enjoy.

Hi, just potentially ran into a bug. I was in the upgrade screen attempting to select an upgrade when one of the vacuum guys came over to eat my bugs and pushed me away from the screen. It returned me to player control mode without me hitting right click or escape, and I was unable to interact with the screen anymore. I ended up just restarting the game, and I was so close to the end too ;^;

I looked through the other comments and see one other person had the same issue, so it must not be very common that the vacuum bugs eat at the same time the players use the terminal, lol

Very cool game though! The gameplay was simple, but satisfying, it sated my urge to scramble around for bugs, and the art is fantastic!

Fourth and final in the line up. A weird little jauntin... a robot garden? Solid weird and short. Good work.

is this a virus?

Thank you for making this amaizing game!!!

Also getting a warning that there is a virus in the zip folder :( can't download the game

(-1)

ty for telling me theres a virus i shall no longer get is game

A LOT of games get flagged for viruses even though they don't have them. This is most likely a normal game.

(+1)

oh thats why ty i just got itch today

(+1)

got it thanks I’m also pretty new to itch

It was short, but fulfilling. I could see how this game is scary for someone with Entomophobia.

Can someone tell me why the game is zoomed in so much and how to fix it? The game is good, and the gameplay resolution is fine, but the pause menu is so large and zoomed in it literally says "ME" where it should say "RESUME" and "USED" where it should say "USED". Can anyne help me, please?

edit, I meant "used where it says paused"

Thanks for pointing out the issue. It says paused, not used, and I’ve fixed the interface resolution problem.

Can someone explain to me how to get those wasp things around the hives? I jump around them but can never get close enough.

you need to upgrade your jump height. If you look on the screen where you repair your machine, it says "upgrades" on the side. There, you can see that you have to collect some specific bugs to upgrade it, but those bugs are easier to get. If you want to jump higher, you can upgrade it more for slightly harder to get bugs (but not too hard)

the graphics were so good, I'm not even telling the gameplay,
